With a 1st place finish in the Nebraska League, Integrity now set their sights on their 2 remaining tournaments. This weekend the girls travel down the road to Lincoln for the 27th Annual Kris Walters Cup Soccer Tournament. Later in June Integrity will finish off their season with a trip down I-80 to the Kearney Invitational.

The girls had a blast helping all the kids.

Just because it is winter doesn't mean that the Integrity Girls are sitting at home. On Thursday, the girls spend the evening at The MICAH House making crafts with the kids who are staying at the house. The girls worked with the kids to make Valentines and paper mittens for their parents. It was a great night that helps make their fundraising efforts tangible. The girls made great connections and even broke out into a dance party.

The girls completed 74 passes and Jacee and Kayleigh earned their 3rd shutout of the season.

Over the course of the weekend, Integrity completed 245 passes and earned two shutouts. That equals a $25.00 donation to the MICAH House from all their donors.

Integrity Girls visit the MICAH House

The now U12 Integrity girls have kicked off their 2015 Fall season with two games and a visit to this season's partner, The MICAH House.

The mission of MICAH House is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for those families who are homeless. The MICAH House is the only shelter in the metro area that allows families to stay together while they are addressing their barriers to stability. With 23 guest rooms and a capacity to shelter up to 90 guests, they provide a vital resource to families in need within our community.

The girls took their initial visit of their facility and were impressed by how happy everyone was and how everyone pitch in with cleaning and cooking.

Integrity has been busy with 2 games already completed for the Fall season. They have racked up 145 passes in their first two games.

  • Kearney Invitational Soccer Tournament

    Post Media

This weekend the U11 Integirty Girls made their final trip of the season to beautiful Kearney, NE. The weekend started off with a tough loss to a solid Phoenix team. Despite the loss, Integrity managed to complete 151 passes. That is their highest pass count of the season and is almost 3x as many passes as their first game of the season! The second game was a nail-biter against North Platte. Integrity went down 3 goals quickly but managed to get one back going into half-time. The girls had a tough time breaking North Platte down. However, with 15 minutes left in the game Integrity found the right combination. Within 5 minutes Integrity went from being down 3-1 to taking the lead 4-3! Integirty held on to the lead to win the game. With a win and a loss, the girls came into Sunday's game against Kearney knowing that they needed a win to have a chance to move on. Integirty dominated the match and won 3-0 with Jacee and Kayden securing the team's 4th shutout of the season.

Despite the win, Integrity fell just short of making the final. Going to the 3rd tie-breaker with North Platte, Integrity had given up one more goal than them. That meant that Phoenix and North Platte advanced to the final and Integirty ended their weekend in 3rd place.

Despite the bittersweet ending, Integrity completed 323 passes and had 1 shutout on the weekend. Those numbers earned a $22.00 donation from all of their supporters.

The girls also acheived another milestone by completing over 100 passes in the game. On Tuesday, the U11 Integrity Girls spent the evening volunteering at the Midlands Humane Society (midlandshumanesociety.org). They began by dropping off supplies from the shelter's wish list and toys they had made on their trip to Cedar Rapids. The girls then divided into groups to tackle tasks ranging from feeding cats and dogs, prepping animal areas for the night, to doing some sweeping. The girls were happy they weren't asked to clean dog poop! Coach Stephanie even made a love connection with a shih tzu named Gizmo and put in an adoption application. The girls learned a ton about all the effort it takes to run the shelter and just how important their donations are.
